Finding Our Inner Balance When Life Happens

Faced with a gazillion stuff on my “to-do” list, in my head I freak out and panic.

Basically, I go crazy overthinking about deadlines, responsibilities and the need to ALWAYS keep moving to accomplish all the things I need to do on a certain day.

In reality, I would grab a big cup of coffee, hefty servings of carrot cake and plant myself in front of the computer Facebook-ing the entire day.

Pffft. Major escapism ensues.

So lately, I have been trying to just stop and try to centre myself when “life happens”.

Five minutes, ten tops.

You might say, I don’t have time for this shit. What I need is an extra ten hours to my day.

Believe me, you have time for this shit. This shit will save your day from hitting the fan.

Slow down. Breathe. Meditate. Play a song. Dance a bit. STOP THINKING.

Do it everyday and you will see a gradual shift, a tiny blip that you can then build on to make each day lighter while accomplishing more.
